Muppets Belgium invasion 2010

Well it has being talked about befor but this year it is going to happen, this year a couple of us are going to see Belgium.

This is still in the early stage of planning at at the moment only have me and Luke confirmed, Stanton and Natlee are a possible maybe but anyone else is welcome.

We are looking at invadeing the last weekend of August and we are going at catching the ferry from Hull and camping somewhere near to Kristof pad's.

Anyone else intested shout up but this needs to be done and this is the year to do it.

    Sounds good! :) I'll try to arrange some days off work to show ya around.

    Are you coming over with the Ernie mobile?

    If I can get my parents out of the house you can all stay at my place. If not then I'll have to bribe them. Lol (or who knows, maybe I have my own place by then...) And if that doesn't work there's a small hotel 150m up the road.

    You might reconsider the date though. Cause the first weekend of september it's the legendary Brussels beer weekend! ;)

    We will be visiting Casa de Eerazer pretty much right after the wedding, we could all continue the party there!!!!  Notice how I invited myself over?  Mind you the beer weekend is tempting but I doubt I can afford to travel Europe for 3 months straight....

    Like I say it is still early stages of planning but just let us know what weekends are good for you EErazer and sure we'll have a good time when ever.

    The Ernie mobile will be taking it first steps on main land europe, since it was ship from France so where ever it was.

    I like Limitles idea of going straite after the wedding and everyone is welcome to join, only thing is if it is straite after the wedding Stanton and Nat wouldn't be able to come since they'll be on there honeymoon.

    Aye, if you're off after the wedding we'll be jetting off on our honeymoon :)

    Due to the wedding we don't really know if we'd be able to make the Belgium trip anyway, we'd certainly try our best but I'd say don't plan the trip around us, do what suits everyone the best!

    I have looked into this and here goes:

    IF we took 4 people in Ernie's Car and got the 19.00 Ferry to Belgium from Hull on Friday 11.06.10 it would arrive the next day about 10am.

    If we stayed in Belgium until the Tuesday 15.06.10 and got the 19.00 back. Theccost would be £250, for this you get a basic 4 person cabin, not sure if Julie and Juan would want to pay an extra £98 for some privacy and a basic 2 person cabin with no seaview, £10 extra for seaview lol!!!

    Cost not too bad I think. Lets get the ball rolling on this, I really want to do it, I would suggest we go for right after Wedding as it'll be only chance Julie and Juan have for a long time I would expect to see The Kristoff in his natural habit Laughing

    Hey mister! I do not live in a wildlife park! lol

    In that case I will have to buy 1 or 2 inflatable mattresses to accomodate you all. ;)

    Mind that there will be construction works going on in our house (starting in March till mid summer). So make sure to bring your toolbox and some coveralls!

    Haha, jk. :p If all goes according to plan just the living room will be off limits at that time.

    I had the idea of staying in the UK that weekend but nothing is fixed yet. So if you'd all rather come to Belgium straight away, then no problem. I talked to Julie the other day and she is totally in planning mode too. Let's see what she thinks.

    PS: the £10 seaview is a total rip off! You're sailing at night ffs!

    Lol you know what it never even occured to me that Kris would be on his way back as well lol. Well if it not come off that weekend then you can stay the weekend at mine and we'll get drunk again, although not German Market drunk I hope!!!!

    I still don't know how that happened! Remember the first day of your anti-stag-divorce celebration? We drank from noon till after 4am and we were fine. Apart from the hangover on Saturday afternoon... lol

    Oh wow.... so much planning going on!!!!  Ummmm, so far I haven't got anything definite pinned down.  As far as cabin choices, I'm not particular about sea view or privacy, I'll be more into chilling with friends and travelling around.  Luke's plan sounds pretty good, but I guess we have lots more time to get some plans in place.

    In the spirit of "The Secret", I will fully plan the trip, and therefore will be able to come up with the necessary funds.... cause the universe will help me! 

    Kris and I had many and many discussions as to the summer plans.

    So far I know this.  I will fly to either Manchester or London, and get to Leeds from there.  Then if all goes well we can all drive/ferry over to Belgium, and party some more!  After that I will take off on my Eurotrip, trying to visit as many of my Euro Friends as humanly possible....

    My next major travels include South America, South East Asia, Russia and Australia so it will be a while until I hit Europe again.  Must make the best of the time I have while on my home continent! :)

    We're most likely staying at Nat and Paul's, however if their place gets too crowded....

    Luke, just so you know, Kristof volunteered your couch as backup! :) LMAO

    Paul and Nat's probably better as much better decorated than my place lol. But always available as a backup.

    Cool well I'll maybe look to book us this Ferry Ticket in the next month or so.......

    Ok, guess the Ernie mobile will be seriously packed! Maybe it's best if I stick to trains to travel back, no? I don't know, you tell me, you've been on 5-man roadtrips before! If any other people are interested in the trainride it would cost about £50 one way (Leeds to anywhere in Belgium), and £40 if booked early.

    I've missed all this up until now! Sounds like a ball, bit gutted it's now right after the wedding as would have loved to join in, but nevermind can't have it all lol, sounds like you'll have a fab time! :) Will see lots of pics no doubt.

    OK I call any seat that's near a window, considering I will be cooped up in a car with 4 men on a night after drinking lotsa beer.  Note to self: pack some industrial strength air freshner!

    As far as we know we'll be crashing at Paul and Nat's, for all nights exept the night of the wedding... for obvious reasons... so maybe we can all head to the wedding and back together and then crash at Luke's since his sofa has been so seriously pimped out :) !!!!

    I would wait to book the ferry until later, since I don't have tickets yet, and those will dictate a lot.

    I've drank and slept since making them comments. lol. My memory spam is rubbish. Tongue out.

    Well I've booked some days off work now to do this. For the Wedding I have Wednesday to Friday off and the week after I have the Monday and Tuesday off to do Belgium. Think we are only staying till Monday but Luke has taken charge of all the plans now.

    Aye that's what Luke told me. I'm just waiting for Lims to send me her flight details. Then I will book all eurostar tickets asap.

    I'll just have to double check with everyone what I need to book on UK trains, so we don't book twice accidentally lol.

    Can't wait for this to go down!! 26 days!! Wooooo :D
