Twitter? I hardly knew her!

Site development is coming along well, a lot of the changes are happening back-end (code refactoring as I get to grips with the MVC paradigm and CakePHP framework).

Twitter integration is rolled in for moblogs (so you can have HoM send a tweet on your behalf when you moblog), you just need to set this up through the 'settings' menu. I'm also going to make more use of the @homeofmuppets twitter account to send out site updates, so be sure to follow!

I'm hoping to integrate with twitter quite closely, so that @homeofmuppets will tell you whenever someone comments on something of yours, for example. (We used to do this by email on the old site)

I'm also thinking about how best to integrate with Facebook and would like your opinions, I'm thinking that I wouldn't want to post content on Facebook for all to see to try and get people over here, as that's not what I want. But HoM could act as a middleman, so any moblogs you sent could also be posted to your mobile uploads on Facebook, but not linked back here so that you're not having to upload twice. Alternatively, moblogs/blogs here could have a 'Post this to Facebook' button so you could choose whether to post things to your FB profile. Or would you rather not have FB integration at all?

Thoughts, ideas?

   Not really sure if I want my moblogs showing up on FB or Twitter.  The idea is great but some of my moblogs are...well you all know..

   I'd like to see a Twit bar below my name and pic that shows my last tweet. That would help fellow Muppets who don't follow me on Twitter see what I'm up to and keep content current even if no updates are happening on here. Once the secure Twitter password bits are implemented I'll sign up for the tweet-on-my-behalf stuff... As well as moblogs could you give an option to allow it to tweet when I blog too. Or maybe a check box when I blog to say "tweet this blog" as maybe some you wouldn't want to tweet?
