Sony Ericsson K850i

Good day all.

I wasn't going to do this as a blog but it has been quite on Muppets today so decided to do it this way.

I've had the Sony Ericsson K850i for 2 months now and to be honest disappointed by it. It is the camera phone from Sony to beat the Nokia N95 for photo's but it wasn't. 5 mega pixal so the pitchure quality was as sharp as anything when you could see it and that is where the problem laid, when you could see it! On a dull day or night the flash was only good for one thing, making you blind. It has the blightest flash of any mobile phone but the flash would flash then a second later the camera would take the photo. That was till today!

Earlier I upgraded the firmware of the phone. Sony don't exactley make it easy but it is well worth it. Took 15 mins for the whole process from start to finish and the camera now takes the photo when the flash goes off. I have been in the bassment all afternoon testing it out so if you have a Sony Ericsson K850i upgrade the firmware, it badly needs it.

   Never been a fan of SE personally.  What people fail to realize is that it is a phone first, then a camera.  It's nice to have a camera on phone, especially with a 5 MP resolution on it.  Sorry you're disappointed in your phone, Ernie.  Good luck with it!

   The phone I was disappointed with till the firmware update.I'm looking forward to using my phone now it has been upgraded. I might have to organise a sexy party to test the camera now. Anyone have any numbers? ;)

   I'll be on the market for this years phone next month, not sure wether to stick to SE or go for a Nokia (N series maybe), don't quite have the funds for an iPhone :(

   The N80 which I played with was way too slow. Within 10 mins of turning it on it crashed on me. Luke has it now!

   I've got the W800i still, and it's still the best phone i've ever had.

   At work i'm upgrading to the N-95, which will confuse me for a while, as there's some subtle differences between the way you write SMS messages etc. that usually throw me off.

   I'm with you on that one Os it's the best phone i've ever had too :)

   Way ahead of it's time 

   I'm dissapointed in the K850I too Ernie It's rubbish in dimly lit places :(

   I'm planning of buying a new mobile soon, but I don't know what to buy.... Brand ? Model ? A camera, yes, if possible...
